Description
Located in the small town of Iiyama Nagano, the Tanakaya brewery uses naturally sweet clear spring water from the foothills of Mount Mizuo and the Hito-gokochi sake rice (farmed within 5 kms of the brewery) to brew their award winning craft sake that carries rich traditional flavours, fruity aromas, exquisite mouthfeel and finish. Tanakawya uses the “gentei kyusui method, handmaking all of the Koji themselves making their Sake wonderfully unique.

COLOUR: Pale clear paper white colour.
OUR TASTING NOTES: Mizuo Ichiaji is a rich and refreshing Sake, velvety with medium body. Aromas of fenugreek, stone fruits and white flowers on the nose combine to create a sophisticated taste, and crisp finish.
FOOD PAIRING: Fish, Chicken, Salad and any dessert, this is an easy to drink Sake that would match meals that favour umami rich ingredients such as venison, mushrooms and salami.
SERVING SUGGESTIONS: Serve chilled (8-12 ºC)
